Description of the project:

Within Plan 111 Mil, specific actions have been developed to promote women’s inclusion in the IT sector. In this sense, a Gender Committee with women from different areas of government, private sector, and academic institutions was set up. The main purposes of this Committee are:
– To increase the number of women registered in the Plan.
– To develop specific actions with enterprises of the private sector in order to increase employment of women certified under the Plan.
– To elaborate focused awareness-raising and communication campaigns to promote women’s interest in careers related to IT and knowledge-based services.
– To articulate actions with the private sector to promote employment and professional development of women in the IT industry.

Area of focus of the project:

• non-formal training opportunities for women and girls in ICT (coding schools)
• information and awareness-raising campaigns
• enhance women’s and girls’ digital privacy and security
